This provides clients with the opportunity to protect themselves while alive. Two specific types of coverages, Disability and Critical Illness Insurance, focus on protecting your greatest asset – your income.
In some life insurance policies, benefits are available before death, in such events as long-term, catastrophic or terminal illness. Since this benefit became available some insurance companies have added Disability Insurance and now have Critical Illness Insurance to the shelf as well. This provides clients with the opportunity to protect themselves while alive.
Disability Insurance
Disability Insurance against the unfortunate situation of not being able to make a wage due to a dehabilitating injury. Disability Insurance will pay you a monthly income for increments of 2, 5, or 10 years or up to 65 years of age.
Critical Illness Insurance
Critical Illness Insurance is a one-time pay out of the face value of the contract which would differ from the Disability Insurance monthly income.
